The Student Union Government (SUG) Praise Night, scheduled for the 19th of August, 2024, was unexpectedly canceled due to a last-minute conflict in venue with another program. The event, intended to be a night of worship for students, was to take place at Garuba Square.

It was discovered that the venue had also been booked for a church event titled “Breaking the Yoke,” organized by the Christ the King Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria (CKCCRN). Both events were scheduled to start at 4 p.m., leading to a clash that could not be resolved in time.

As at the time of filing and publishing this report, there has been no news on the rescheduling of the SUG Praise Night.
